Welcome to HumblePray
Welcome to America, Humble Yourselves & Pray (HumblePray, for short). We are a private online Christian media organization and store dedicated to examining how societal reformation begins through the Christian application of God’s Word in every facet of society. Our mission field begins at home and extends to every corner of our communities. Formerly known as FYRE.IS, we are passionate about our mission and excited to share it with you.
Our Mission
Purpose
At HumblePray, our purpose is to provoke the American Church to repentance and seek God. This is demonstrated through a sacrificial love for God and neighbor, the abolition and criminalization of abortion, and the declaration of Christ’s Lordship in every domain to instigate societal reformation.
Vision
We envision a society transformed by our collective obedience to the greatest commandments: to love God with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. By fulfilling the Great Commissionโdiscipling, baptizing, and teaching the nationsโwe aim to exalt the Lordship of Jesus Christ in all spheres of society. Our goal is to foster a culture of Christian self-governance, inspired by the Protestant Reformation’s principle of the โpriesthood of all believers.โ Through this biblical reconstruction of society, we aim to catalyze healing, restoration, and the fulfillment of God’s promises, crafting a future marked by divine blessings and righteousness.
Our Story
Founding Journey
In 2012, amid political disillusionment, Matthew Edmund founded HumblePray as a beacon of spiritual reflection and action. What began as a modest Facebook page grew into a movement rooted in the scripture from 2 Chronicles 7:13-15, which calls for humility, prayer, and repentance as the path to healing and restoration. This mission became even more urgent in the wake of the 2020 societal upheaval and Matthew’s personal battle with COVID-19, which further galvanized his resolve to address accelerating societal deformation.
Why We Care
Societal reformation begins with introspection within the Church. The American Church’s departure from foundational Christian doctrinesโsuch as the inerrancy of Scripture, the sanctity of life, and biblical family structuresโhighlights the need for revival from within. Our focus is to embody the change we seek, guided by God’s prescription for restoration: humility, prayer, and righteous living. Our care extends beyond cultural preservation to profound obedience to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, recognizing Him as the ultimate authority over all nations.
Our Values
HumblePray upholds and advocates for timeless truths rooted in Scripture and historic Christian doctrine:
- Five Solas of the Protestant Reformation: We affirm Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Solus Christus, and Soli Deo Gloria as essential to our faith and practice.
- Historic Christian Faith: We adhere to the historic Christian creeds and the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.
- Abortion Abolition and Criminalization: We advocate for the immediate abolition and criminalization of abortion, calling for equal rights for the preborn.
- Biblical View on Sexuality: We uphold the biblical definition of marriage and God’s design for human sexuality.
